Richard Ellenbogen, MD is chair of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Washington.  He also serves as co-chair of the NFL Head, Neck and Spine Committee.  A global thought-leader in Neurological Surgery, Dr. Ellenbogen co-founded the UW Medicine Sports Health & Safety Institute and is founding co-director of the Seattle Sports Concussion Program.  He won the Bronze Star for his service in Desert Storm while serving as Commander of the 252nd Medical / XVII Airborne Corps.
